Sunday Thoughts ~ January 26, 2020

“The morning is in itself a miracle, the chance to be able to live life ~ is the greatest gift we have.  The morning is a reminder of that, every day.” ~ J. R. Rim

Good Sunday morning, sweet souls.  Are you a morning person?  Some of us are ~ others, not so much.  I have always enjoyed the morning, especially in the garden.  To me, nothing compares to sitting in the garden on a spring morning with my coffee and listening to bird song.  Truly, priceless moments I have been blessed to enjoy.  But when you stop to think about it, isn’t every morning like spring?  It is new, life is beating, and it is our chance to begin again.  What a precious gift life truly is.

“… I think every day God sends us an invitation to live and sometimes we forget to show up or get head-faked into thinking we haven’t really been invited. But you see, we have been invited ~ every day, all over again.” ~ Bob Goff

Dear friends, thank you for your visit.

Know I am wishing you and yours a beautiful day.

And…

May each new day in the week ahead bring you unexpected joy.

Amour,

Sandra

  1. Beautiful! I enjoy the freshness of the morning, but I am an evening person. Sometimes it’s hard to stay in synch with a morning world.

    1. Good morning, Carol and welcome to Maison De Jardin. I would imagine being an evening person would be difficult when the wide-eyed morning people were ready for bed. Have a lovely day and ‘evening.’

  2. Dear friend, today I was an early riser, well I am every day. My habit is to wake up at 7h. A.M. It is now 10.27 am. and I have already done many things.
The first thing you see at the beginning of the day is truly important for the whole day. Your words and your meditations are really beautiful and leave a halo of goodness that I like very much.
You are a very sensitive person and you know how to transmit it very well in a simple way … as things should be.
I wish you a happy day today

    1. Dear Dolores, I would so enjoy coffee with you in my garden. It is such a lovely place to be on a spring morning. I agree that how our mornings begin do shape our day and I love your thoughts of a “halo of goodness.” You, dear friend, stated it perfectly.
Know I am thinking of you and wishing you and your family a most beautiful day. Many blessings, dear one. ❤

  3. Sandra, beautiful images, quotes, and thoughts to ponder this morning, life is truly a gift. Each breath we take is a gift from our Creator. I am a morning person for sure, I am normally up by 5. I never set a clock, I have an internal one. Wishing you and Michael a lovely Sunday! ❤️

    1. Dear Pam, I agree with your every word. I also have an internal clock. The many years I worked outside our home it went off at 4, now it is 6 and that is a perfect time in the garden. But not this morning it is snowing. Wishing you and your beautiful family a Sunday full of joy and a beautiful week ahead.❤

    1. Thank you, Rita. Wishing you a lovely day and enjoy your morning. Is it snowing down your way? It is here, Mike just went outside to give the Blue Jays their peanuts. They are sitting on the brick wall around the garden screaming for them.?

  4. Good morning, Sandra! As always such a beautiful post for our Sunday morning. I am most definitely a morning person. It is my favorite time of day. Today, the sun is brightly shining and the birds are singing. I truly feel that is a gift. Enjoy your week ahead, sweet friend!!!

    1. Good morning to you, dear Shannon. I would enjoy being with you this morning – it is pouring the snow here. That is ok though, as we really haven’t had much winter. Mornings are a gift and such a special one. Wishing you a beautiful day and week full of lovely mornings. ❤

    1. Thanks, Jeanie. We had an ever so slight dusting of snow this morning. And, now we are trying to have a few flurries. I bet you have a lovely white blanket to enjoy! Happy day and week ahead.❤

  5. The Goff quote is wonderful, I’ve written it down. At my age it means even more. I love the gifts of the morning and rarely am up past 10. I hope you have a lovely week ahead!

    1. Dear Dewena, I am right with you my friend. The mornings are truly a gift. Wishing you a lovely week as well.❤
