“Welcome sweet November, the season of senses and my favorite month of all.” ~ Gregory F. Lenz
Good Sunday morning, dear ones. Remember, a few weeks ago I said, “We are going to blink and it will be Christmas.” Well, it is getting closer, isn’t it? As this morning we welcome November.
I have always enjoyed November. I suppose my enjoyment of the month stems from the years we lived in Virginia. Being a West Virginia girl, I would be so anxious to see glorious autumn days. However, autumn doesn’t arrive in that part of the world until November. When it does arrive the days are beautiful, but unfortunately, the stay is brief. Perhaps, that is what made November so sweet for me.
November, by Elizabeth Coatsworth
November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.
With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.
The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.
Dear friends, I hope this finds you happy and ready to welcome the beautiful month of November. It is a month of change as we move into winter and a well-deserved rest. And, this year, perhaps more than ever, it is a time for us to pay attention and give thanks for our many blessings and all the tiny details in our lives ~ both of which make life so beautiful.
Know how much I appreciate your visit and comments.
And…
I wish you and yours a beautiful and peaceful day. Stay well!
“May you take time
to celebrate the quiet miracles
that seek no attention.” ~ John O’Donohue

Happy November, Sandra! I am wondering where October went, it came fast and left us way too soon. Your quotes, images, and and sentiments are perfect. Thanks for sharing beauty, it provides peace and calm. Wishing you and Michael and lovely November day!
Thank you, sweet friend. October was beautiful here in our mountains. And you are so right, “it left us way too soon.” Happy November days to you and your lovely family.?
Happy November! There is beauty in the bare of nature in November, while anticipating the ornamentation of the holidays to come. It will be especially challenging to keep the spirit of the holidays alive and well this year, knowing we will be limited in our family gatherings. But there is always something to be grateful for, and I will try to focus on that. Your inspirational posts help!
Good morning, Rita. The holidays will certainly be different this year. I will try and remember my mom’s words this year ~ “Her gift was knowing we were safe.” She said that to me many times when the weather prevented our trip home. Traveling across the mountains covered with a foot of snow and ice was not safe. Her words ring true with our current situation as well.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful and Happy November.
I agree, where did October go. Our weather was very beautiful except for all the storms.
Beautiful images today as usual. Thank you for the beauty this morning.
Good morning, Bonnie. Yes, October left us too quickly. It does seem as though the days do that anymore. Wishing you a happy and lovely November, my friend.
Happy November! One of my favorite months too.
Good morning, Penny. And a happy November to you and your family.

Dear Maristella, I am grateful for you and your kind words. Wishing you beautiful days ahead. Stay well.
Oh, how I remembered this poem. We had to write it in our best cursive way back in 1957, I was 9. I Loved this entire post, thank you! Sandi
Thank you, Sandra, and thank you for your visit. I am happy to have revived your sweet memories.
Happy November dear Sandra! This is another beautiful and inspirational post, thank you so much. I so agree with you that this year, perhaps more than ever, is a time for us to pay attention and give thanks for our many blessings and all the tiny details in our lives ~ both of which make life so beautiful.

Thank you, dear Lidy. And you are one of those sweet blessings. Wishing you a lovely November, as well. ❤
Today is election day. I need this post, this calm, this beauty. Thank you for bringing it to me this morning.
Jeanie, you are most welcome. I am not a calm person today. Lord help us is all I can say. I hope you and I can celebrate when it is over. Try and have a good day, my friend.
Beautiful November images and quotes, Sandra. Here is one especially for you: ” Like a toasty fire on a cold November morn, thoughts of those we hold dear warm the heart.” Hope you are enjoying our lovely brisk days which, for me, always ushers in the beginning of that wonderful and festive feeling I get knowing lovely holidays are soon to be. Hugs!
