Sunday Thoughts ~ February 16, 2020

“It is a serious thing  just to be alive on this fresh morning…” ~ Mary Oliver

Good Sunday morning, sweet souls.  Mary Oliver is correct, “It is a serious thing just to be alive.”  To have another chance to greet the morning, to do the things we enjoy, soak up the beauty of the earth, and hug those we love.  Precious are the moments.
“Spirit is like the wind, in that we can’t see it but can see its effects, which are profound.” -Jimmy Carter
“Spirit is like the wind, in that we can’t see it but can see its effects, which are profound.” ~ Jimmy Carter
It is amazing, isn’t it?  All the ‘profound effects’ we are privileged to enjoy.  Former President, Jimmy Carter, a very spiritual person, will leave a legacy as one of the greatest humanitarians of our time.  Additionally, his art and writing will continue to enrich the lives of so many for years to come.
And, should you be a little weary of winter, hold on!
“Never yet was a springtime, when the buds forgot to bloom.” ~ Margaret Elizabeth Sangster
Dear friends, thank you for your visit.  May you and yours enjoy a beautiful day.
And, in the week ahead…

“May the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you, guide your way on.” ~ yoga farewell blessing

  1. It is a serious thing to be alive, something never to be taken for granted. But we often do, don’t we? At my age though, much less than I did when young. It’s the little things that are precious too. Like my little dachshund James Mason who is letting me know it’s his dinner time. How can I resist those sweet eyes and his murmurs as he stares at me?

That field! I want to be in it!

    1. Dear Dewena, thank you for your kind and lovely words. I certainly wouldn’t be able to resist James Mason’s sweet eyes. You are correct, it is the little things and I, too, no longer take any of them for granted, if at all possible Wishing you a lovely day.❤

  2. Oh Sandra, these comments — the Oliver and Carter, especially — just really nail it. Gorgeous words to live by. Have a lovely weekend, what’s left of it, and new week, too!

    1. Thank you, Jeanie. Mary Oliver is a favorite of mine. Her writing always makes me stop in my tracks. Wishing you a wonderful day and week ahead.❤

  3. Good morning Sandra. As always, you came through with beautiful images and quotes. I love the Mary Oliver quote, “it is a serious thing just to be alive…”. We take each breath for granted and that there will a next one, when we are not guaranteed of that. Wishing you a most lovely Sunday sweet friend♥️

  4. Friend Sandra, your dates are very beautiful, I keep everything … Touch the soul and leave a message to meditate. Jimmy Carter I remember it very well, he was a man who left good feelings. In Spain it was highly valued.
Winter is no longer hard, now shyly shows something of what spring will be, at least for these places where I live. It’s not so cold anymore.
I wish you have a great week and I send you a hug
