Public gardens and parks are dressed in their finest to welcome all their many visitors. And, among these beautiful places are rose gardens. They are always clipped and snipped to perfection and have such a grand variety of magnificent roses with exquisite blooms… simply out of this world. Just waiting for you to come and visit.
“There’s nothing like the rose. The lily has an air, and the snowdrop a grace, and the sweet-pea a way, and the heart’s ease a face, ~ yet there’s nothing like the rose when she blows.” ~ Christina G. Rossetti
“Where you tend a rose, my lad, a thistle may not grow.” ~ Frances Hodgson Burnett
“Won’t you come into the garden? I would like my roses to see you.” ~ Richard Brinsley Sheridan
“It was June and the world smelled of roses.” ~ Maud Hart Lovelace
“June was a month of sunflowers like golden lion manes and bumble bees buzzing around restlessly. Honeysuckle is everywhere and the sky is a cerulean blue like paint on a canvas. Roses flutter like the wings of birds whilst the birds fly up in the sky like paper planes.” ~ unknown
Dear friends, I thank you for spending a little time with me this morning. I do hope you have found a lovely image or perhaps a few words which speak to you ~ something to tuck away in your heart.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful day.
And…
“May thy cup be filled with summer’s blessings and bloom in thy heart a little garden that brings thee great joy and everlasting kindness, wherever thy feet may wander.” ~ Freya Turrill

Sandra, I know it’s only Saturday evening and I’m peeking ahead to your Sunday post. But I could not wait. Oh my, it is wonderful. All those beautiful roses and the gardens they live in. Thank you for these glimpses of heaven in a bevy of rose gardens. So beautiful, and I enjoyed the lovely quotes that accompanied the photos.
Wishing you a beautiful day tomorrow…

Many thanks, dear Brenda. Wishing you and yours a lovely day and week ahead.
Happy Sunday. Beautiful post.
Thanks, Penny. And a happy day to you as well.
I so appreciate the month of June and all it represents in my mind: celebrating [my] life all around, the fragrance of roses, lavender, and honeysuckle, long & warm days, and sweet birdsong. it also represents freedom, as simply as school being out and families vacationing, to celebrating our flag as symbol, to our statehood. Great post, happy Sunday, Sandra!
Thanks, Rita. Yes, June seems to be special for many reasons. Happy Sunday and week ahead, my friend.

Sandra, June is such a lovely month and it has been beautiful as we have enjoyed its loveliness high in the Appalachians over the past few days, The roses are gorgeous and the quotes are perfectly chosen. Wishing you a wonderful week my friend!
Dear Pam, thank you for your kind words. Hope you have enjoyed yourselves in the mountains. They are pretty any time of the year, but so lovely in June. Happy week to you as well. ❤

Thank you, Shirley, I do not know where the rose garden is. It is disappointing when you find a photo of such gorgeousness and it doesn’t tell where the garden is located. Happy week to you and thank you for your visit.
The blooms knock my socks off and the quotes are just terrific.
Thank you, Jeanie. Enjoy the remainder of the week – they do seem to fly.
