Good morning, dear friends. Thank you so much for your visit and I do hope this finds you enjoying lovely spring days.
Perhaps, you may have noticed that I am not as quick to comment on your blogs or answer your lovely comments on mine, as I once was. There is a reason for that ~ I have recently had two cataract surgeries. The first surgery went well, as did this last one. However, after this last surgery, I cannot use my glasses, so reading and typing are difficult. I won’t have new glasses for a few weeks, so I will try and be a good girl and do all the doctor tells me to do. And, by the way, I am so very fortunate for my wonderful doctor and our little hospital that is more like a spa. 
Things do change in our lives ~ don’t they? For most of my life, I have been a ‘slow learner.’ By that I mean, I usually go until I drop and perhaps the issue with my eyes was no different. God knows me and He knows sometimes He has to intervene and place something in my path that makes me stop for a while and simply ‘just be.’ Thankfully, I see extremely well at a distance. The colors of my tree peonies seem more vivid than I remember and I can’t wait for the others to bloom. The weather has been so cool, most are still in tight bud. I will send photos as they open.

I am glad the surgeries went well! I have an appointment for the 23rd to have my eyes checked. It has been over 4 years. I have a feeling that I will be having cataract surgery as well.
The surgery is done in a blink, Penny. The eye drops, not bending over and a few other things are a bit of a pain. Just so thankful these issues can be taken care of. My problem is with the small print and my new glasses will take care of that.

Sandra, I am so happy for you that once again you can enjoy the vivid colors of springtime. I only need readers since my surgery two years ago. I have been so happy with my peonies this year, but they are almost gone. I must have had over a hundred blooms on four peony bushes. Wishing you a beautiful week, dear one!

It’s good to have those surgeries behind you. Your peony and lilac photos are gorgeous – here the lilacs are blooming, but the peonies are still tight buds. Have a good week, Sandra.
I’ve heard the surgery is the easy part, the recovery a pain. Just smart to take it easy and things will level out soon. Of all the things in the world to worry about, commenting on our blogs is probably high on the list of least important! Meanwhile, that opening photo was beautiful and is that one of your peonies? Oh, I can practically smell it’s wonderful fragrance from here. I’m eagerly awaiting the day that ours pop — usually in June! Happy week and keep improving! (I think I’ll be having cataract surgery next fall, at least that’s what the plan is.)
Thinking of you as you completely recover from your surgeries. I haven’t had cataract surgery yet but my husband has and it was not fun.

I remember the miraculous feeling after cataract surgery to see the leaves on trees sharply for the first time in who knows how long. It is a process though so yes follow doctor’s orders. It did change reading up close for me also and it took awhile to get reading glasses just so. How wonderful that it is all behind you now!
My son brought me a huge bouquet of peonies from his garden this weekend and I’ve loved them so much.
I’ve been out of the loop for a couple of weeks – we were visiting family away for my niece’s university graduation and then other needful things required tending. So I must have missed the news that you were having eye surgeries. I’m so glad they went well… and that you can still see your beautiful peonies in all their wonderment. I wish you continued grace for the days until you get your new glasses.
