Sunday Thoughts ~ Thanksgiving

In November, people are good to each other. They carry pies to each other’s homes and talk by crackling woodstoves, sipping mellow cider. They travel very far on a special November day just to share a meal with one another and to give thanks for their many blessings…

Dear friends, wherever Thanksgiving Day may find you, I wish you and yours love and great joy.

Be safe in your travels, hug those you love extra tight and may the day bring you beautiful memories.

    1. Many thanks, dear Jeanie. Wishing you, Rick, those sweet little boys, and their family a beautiful Thanksgiving.

  3. Your quote from November–I looked it up and really want a copy–is so very satisfying in a time when we could easily let disturbing events in the world make us forget all the good things in our lives.

All of the pictures are lovely but oh that silver soup tureen and the golden gourds by it!

    Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day,
    Dewena

    1. Dear Dewena, thank you so much for your kind comments. I have always loved the quote by Cynthia Rylant (I assume that is the quote you are referring to). If you are unable to locate a copy, send me a private message with your email and I will get one to you. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I do so love this American tradition, we do not have it here in the UK, but I think it is particularly healthy to be reminded and to stop and think in this fast-paced life we lead about all that we DO have to be thankful for. Hope your day is all you hope for and more.

    1. Many thanks, Selma. Thanksgiving is a special holiday, especially in what often seems to be a world upside down. Blessings to you, and I hope you will visit me again soon.
